About The Role

As a team member in an early stage startup, you have the opportunity to use cutting-edge technology and frameworks to craft solutions from scratch instead of fixing issues of legacy old-school systems that were built on outdated systems and practices. The ability to thrive and create a vision for work in a fast-paced, iterative, unstructured and ambiguous environment is critical.

You will have the unique opportunity to make an impact right off the bat and work directly with our senior executives. You can impact strategic decisions such as designing the business models, assisting with roadmap planning, evaluating vender’s service and products, or engaging in merger and acquisition of other startups’ assets. You will widen your network exponentially and meet with world-class stylists, engineers, scientists, inventors and founders.

As a Marketing Manager, you are part of the marketing teams, which is the key driver for the startup’s growth and traction.

You will work closely with our founder Anya Cheng who is a marketing professor at Northwestern University to lead overall marketing strategy and tactics across a wide variety of marketing channels. You will oversee marketing initiatives in organic social media and blog content marketing, paid media buying (magazine, podcast, blogger outreach), public relations and community engagement including channel strategy, content production and creative directions.

You will help develop a timeless brand, elevate and raise the quality of design and creative work, and demonstrate advocacy for customer-centric experiences. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in brand architecture, craft and design thinking, and has the ability to oversee the artwork and manage digital and offline marketing materials.

You will ensure a consistent and strong creative narrative for work that reaches an audience across the U.S. by cultivating a vision for how the brand manifests across a variety of channels, by optimizing our brand design systems, redefining how consumer touch points are experienced, and working with our UX/UI and marketing designers, product managers, buyers, stylists, copy writers and more.
